Beginners Piano and Keyboard Song Lesson – How To Play Annie’s Song

Annie’s Song was made famous by John Denver in 1974. It is a classic love song which was written about his wife.

The song is very simple and perfect for a beginner to keyboard or piano. It has a beautiful melody and lyric line which has reached out to many people.

Annie’s Song itself is quite a short piece of music but it repeats a couple of times which also makes it a great song to begin your musical journey with as there isn’t too much content.

The original song was written in D Major, but for a beginner playing it a tone down in C Major makes it a lot easier as it doesn’t require any black notes and as it is only one step down from its original key it doesn’t make much difference to the songs melody.

1 (Being your thumb) 3 & 5 alternatively use 1 2 4.
